Accuphase DC-300

SOLD!

Description:

The Accuphase DC-300 is a high-fidelity digital amplifier and digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that was launched in Japan in 1996. The device is characterized by its advanced circuit technology and the high quality of the components used in its construction. The DC-300 was actually the first digital preamplifier in the world (and was sold in 1996 for about 9500 Euros!)

With advanced circuits using DSPs for high-speed arithmetic processing, digital input signals with sampling frequencies of 32 / 44.1 / 48 kHz and a resolution of up to 24 bits are accepted. After decoding by the DAI (Digital Audio Interface) from Accuphase, the digital signal is processed by the DSP. This handles all preamplifier signal processing (e.g., tone control), phase switching, etc. Since everything occurs in the digital domain, the original signal is very well preserved. Finally, thedigital signal is converted into an analog one using Accuphase's Multiple Multi-Bit (MMB) DAC. Because of this and other features, the sound quality of the DC-300 is phenomenal. This DC-300 is equipped with the Al-U1 expansion card, which allows for unbalanced high-level inputs (e.g., analog outputs from a CD player, tuner, tape deck, etc.).

flawless function, 20 years old, well maintained, very little signs of use
