Description:
The digital data at the inputs is received up to 192 kHz / 24 bit and then fed to the 24 bit R2R converter PCM 1704U-K. Throughout the transmission range, neither upsampling nor oversampling takes place. There are also no digital filters in the signal path. Together with the DriveMaster, the I2S input allows for a direct connection without the sound-reducing conversion / reconversion into an SPDIF signal. In the analog domain, an output stage with EC 86 tubes takes over the voltage amplification.
As an audiophile addition, we recommend the PowerMaster for power supply at a special price of €699 (retail €1,300). This can supply 2 devices with high-quality DC.
Excerpt from the test report CONNECT:
'Even network players like the Linn Sneaky DS, which expensive CD players regularly struggle against, could be returned to the shelf after a brief comparison with the Digimaster - here was a liveliness, an energy, and physical presence offered, from the first pluck of the guitar to the last breath of the singer, which reminded more of the two turntables set up right next door.'
