Chord Electronics HUGO TT2

SOLD!

Description:

Enjoy the highest possible sound quality with the Chord Hugo TT2. It supports files from DSD 64 to DSD 512 as well as a wide range of PCM frequencies including 44.1 kHz, 176.4 kHz and 768 kHz. The powerful Xilinx Artix 7 FPGA is custom-coded to create an advanced 16FS WTA 1 filter with 98,304 taps. In comparison, most other DACs have a 256 tap filter. It also features a 10-element design that gives you unparalleled clarity.

A discrete high-performance output stage and second-order noise-shaping integration were installed between the DAC output and the filter. This has the effect of reducing distortion. The three-stage digital crossfeed function improves depth perception and turns your headphones into your very own personal loudspeaker. You also get the four-level, user-selectable filter control first introduced with its multi-award-winning predecessor, Hugo 2.

A precision-made aluminum housing and ball-bearing steel keys make this DAC/amplifier a long-term runner. The glass viewing portal, glossy black acrylic signal window and dot matrix display are both pretty and functional. Although designed for home use, the Hugo TT2 features a Li-Po battery power supply as well as six supercapacitors. These are capable of delivering enormous, linear dynamic currents and peak power of 5A, 9.3V RMS.

-Digital/analog converter that is at the absolute top of the world
