Loewe is experiencing a restart, the TV production in Kronach continues

Preparations for the resumption of production at the company's headquarters in Franconian Kronach are now complete. After the investment group Skytec (based in Cyprus) took over the traditional company Loewein December 2019, production has now resumed.

The company relies on a two-stage manufacturing process and complements the automated production of TV devices with a separate line for handcrafting. The high-quality TV components are made by hand. So, real handcraft 'Made in Germany' at Loewe in Kronach. Here, the premium models with OLED technology are manufactured by specially trained employees. Before delivery, the models are extensively manually checked.

For the initially 90 employees, it looks like the Kronach site is saved. With a new concept, the employees are trying Loewe to help regain its former glory. An important role is played by the label 'Made in Germany'. Loewe will continue to remain loyal to the start of production at the Kronach site.

Alongside the start of production, there are also other projects. The Skytec group has taken on other big names and brought them back to Europe; for example: the former electronics giant Blaupunkt and Sharp. Therefore, the Loewe management team around Aslan Khabliev is pushing its plans for the establishment of a center for research, design, and development.

The aim of the center, which is also based in Kronach, is not only to develop new LCD and OLED televisions, but also to develop new products and thus expand the Loewe portfolio to include new categories. There are currently 20 employees responsible for the development and design of new products. Here sets Loewe also on quality in the conception and development, as well as the internationally recognized German craftsmanship and engineering.

Already in February, the supply of Loeweservice parts resumed. The delivery of products from the well-known portfolio to retail partners has also begun. Thus, all product lines from Loewe are again available in authorized specialty stores.

Aslan Khabliev, managing director of LoeweTechnology GmbH says: 'We assume that we can stick to our original schedule – despite the currently difficult market situation affecting both us and our retail partners. Nevertheless, we are consistently relying on collaboration with retailers and working on solutions to keep our partners informed and supported as best as possible.'
