Jerry Harvey is the monitor engineer and sound technician behind the legendary hard rock band Van Halen. Jerry was always looking for the ultimate in-ears, as drummer Alex Van Halen (of Van Halen) asked for high-quality and small headphones that wouldn't hinder him while playing, especially at concerts and studio recordings. Jerry was not satisfied with the available in-ears in the 80s and 90s, as the selection was small, so he developed the first high-end in-ears for the band Van Halen. The band was verysatisfied with the sound, as these in-ears also met professional demands, and word started to spread among musicians worldwide, forcing Jerry Harvey to start a company due to the constantly rising demand among musicians. The company was called Ultimate Ears and was sold to Logitech in 2005 for a few million. Today, Jerry develops his top in-ears for demanding musicians under his own label 'Jerry Harvey Audio.'
